The purpose of this session will be to provide an introduction to the Perkins Accessible Science Website which is part of the Perkins e-learning community. The site exists in order to provide itinerant TVIs and teachers at schools for the blind with vital resources and ideas for teaching science to students with visual impairment.
The session will include information on the site’s purpose and layout as well as information on how to register to add activities and blogs.

In this session, TSBVI teachers will share their use of various social media tools to help students, teachers, and families gain new skills and target specific instructional needs. We'll share a few of the accessibility obstacles and solutions found in various platforms including Edmodo, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.

Lab Training - Part 2 of 2
This is a 2 session hands-on experiential training. The worksheet learners will create is at a middle school level; however the techniques and process can apply to all grade levels. Learners will create a two-page math worksheet. The first page consists of several math problems and answer choices and the second page is a tactile graphic.
Computers and all software will be provided. There are 20 available seats, first come first served. Learners are required to stay for both sessions.
